At the core of the YFZ450R SE is a 449 cc liquid-cooled DOHC 4-stroke engine equipped with five titanium valves and Yamaha Fuel Injection with a 42 mm throttle body. Power is delivered through a 5-speed manual transmission with a wet multiplate assist-and-slipper clutch, engineered for smooth downshifts, responsive throttle input, and dependable mid-range to top-end output.
The hybrid aluminum and steel frame is designed for centralized mass and precise cornering feedback. Suspension performance is handled by front independent double-wishbone suspension featuring Kashima-coated piggyback KYB shocks with 9.8 in (24.9 cm) of travel, paired with a rear cast aluminum swingarm and piggyback KYB shock offering 11.0 in (27.9 cm) of travel. The setup provides full adjustability to match changing terrain and rider preferences.
The Special Edition package includes factory-installed styling, aggressive sport tires, premium wheels, and race-inspired trim designed for optimal control and rider movement during high-performance riding.
